Ava Wolff

Ava was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where she started dancing at the age of five. In high school she was accepted into North East School of the Arts where she majored in Dance. She trained at Earle Cobb Dance Studio taking Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Ava began assisting dance classes and eventually teaching at Earle Cobb in 2007. After graduating from North East School of the Arts in 2010, she moved to Chicago to further her dance education at Columbia College Chicago. There she met Trae Turner, the Artistic Director of Boom Crack! Dance Company, and fell in love with Hip Hop. She began dancing in the company in 2012 and is now their current Dance Captain. Ava has also worked with choreographers Gary Beauford, Jamal Sims, Sarah Fazio, Miguel Antonio, Tyler Hanes, and many more. She has done promotional events for Fame and Step Up 3-D, performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,  Chicago’s Carnival Choreographers Ball, and music videos for Yemi Maire’s “Love Bop ft. DLow." She has opened for Mindless Behavior and has competed at Hip Hop International both in 2013 and 2016, placing top in U.S.A both years. Her choreography has also won top overall and platinum scores, at both regional and national competitions. Currently Ava teaches different styles across the Chicagoland area, and continues to spread a dance aesthetic of her own.
