Noelle Jay
Recital Jazz, Musical Theatre Instructor
Noelle Jay grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and trained at The Dance Project as a young dancer. After playing Louisa in “The Sound of Music,” she knew performing and storytelling was her purpose. She went to Carthage College and received a BA in music theatre with a minor in dance. During her time in college, she spent a summer in New York City training at Broadway Dance Center and The Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Since graduating, Noelle made her Chicago theatre debut as Sophie Sheridan in "Mamma Mia!" at BrightSide Theatre. She returned to BrightSide to play Dainty June in "Gypsy" the following year. She was also a swing and dance captain in "The Addams Family" at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre. When not in a musical or auditioning for one, Noelle is a freelance dancer and has performed at many venues across the city of Chicago including Untitled Supper Club and The VU Rooftop. She has a profound love for giving her students the tools and “language of the biz” that she didn’t have while growing up. Her passion is fostering the beauty of telling a story through movement with her students and making sure they are ready for any challenge that might come their way. Noelle started teaching and choreographing professionally in 2019 and she is so excited to be a part of the Studio 22 family!
