

Rachel Rosales Malin

Rachel began teaching and coaching at Studio 22 during its founding year in 2009. She started her dance training in Chicago, IL at a young age and continued pursuing her passion for dance throughout her adult life. At just 18 years old, Rachel became an instructor for the Universal Dance Association (UDA), where she spent five years traveling across the United States and internationally to countries including Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Germany. Through UDA, she taught dance camps, judged Regional and National competitions, and choreographed summer camp routines that were taught nation-wide.
Rachel danced professionally for the NBA as a member of the Chicago Bulls dance team, the Chicago Luvabulls, for two seasons. During her time with the organization, she performed on nationally televised programs including Good Morning America, Windy City Live, WGN Today, and ABC’s Festival of Lights. In 2015, she was selected to perform in China as part of the Luvabulls organization and was also featured as one of Chicago’s “Taste Makers” in UNIQLO’s 2015 national advertising campaign.
As an award-winning choreographer, Rachel has choreographed and consulted for All Star, high school, and collegiate dance teams across the country. She has worked with nationally recognized programs including the Loyola Ramblerettes, Maine South Hawkettes, the University of Wisconsin Madison Dance Team and the Michigan State University Elite Dance Team. Rachel also served as the JV Coach for the Maine South Hawkettes for six years and choreographed Varsity High Kick routines from 2017–2019, along side Jackie Graney, helping lead the program to two National Championship titles and one National Runner-Up finish.
At Studio 22, Rachel currently serves as a choreographer and coach for the Senior All Stars, who have earned multiple Top 3 placements in various styles since the Senior program’s launch in 2024. She also co-coaches the Youth and Junior All Star Large teams. From 2014-2022, Rachel coached the Junior All Stars to multiple National & Summit Championship titles as well as USASF World Finalist placements. In addition to Studio 22’s Dance Team Program, Rachel serves as a Rehearsal Director for Company 22, where she has choreographed numerous award-winning group and solo pieces. Her choreography has earned multiple awards, including Best Choreography honors at multiple dance competition circuits.
Beyond choreography and coaching, Rachel leads Studio 22’s marketing, social media, and website management, helping shape the studio’s branding, digital presence, and creative direction. She is also a dedicated technique teacher and is AAC2 Certified through Acrobatic Arts as well as a certified instructor through Progressing Ballet Technique.
Rachel is passionate about helping dancers grow both technically and artistically while building confidence, discipline, and work ethic. She strives to create a training environment where dancers feel challenged, inspired, and supported as they work toward their personal goals both inside and outside the studio.
